The IMCW sangha (community) is about working to create a Buddhist life of belonging, safety, and generosity towards each other—it’s about having a spiritual home.

Community

Seeking connection, community and support for your practice? We invite you to join our classes, retreats and peer-led groups.

We offer affinity groups for People of ColorLGBTQ and Women for dharma study and social opportunities.

Browse the neighborhood Sitting Groups for quiet meditation or Kalyana Mitta (spiritual friends) groups for meditation and discussion.

Families may want to consider IMCW's monthly Family Meditation Classes, geared towards children 5-12 and 13-17 years old.

Please contact the IMCW Care Committee if you need support and vital services during a difficult life occurrence. They provide assistance such as groceries, meals and transportation.

Action

The expression of a developing spiritual path is engaged action. In action we practice all aspects of the Buddha's core teachings of the Eightfold Path. IMCW supports several paths of engaged practice.

Engaged Buddhism allows you to apply the insights you are gaining from your practice to social justice and environmental issues while you create new friendships.

Consider our Volunteer opportunities, as a way to get involved and meet people as you give back to the community.
