IMCW Unveils New Website

By Editor | May 2 2011
IMCW is delighted to announce the launch of a colorful new streamlined and updated website. Our goals have been to create a website that would better reflect the character of the IMCW community, and to create a more viewer-friendly experience on the website.

You’ll find many new features here that will enrich your practice:

  • Audio (and our new video!) dharma talks are offered by senior teachers Tara Brach, Hugh Byrne, and Jonathan Foust. Talks can be downloaded, and Tara’s talks are still available through her podcast and website.
  • A dynamic new home page shows you our upcoming classes and retreats, as well as the latest news and announcements.
  • A newly developed RSS feed, Falling Petals, offers the latest news, announcements and resource articles.
  • A calendar makes it easy for you to find upcoming classes, retreats, sitting groups, etc., by category or by search.
  • A comprehensive, easy-to-use online retreat registration process makes it easier to attend your favorite retreats.
New to meditation? There are many ways to use the website to start on the path.

Establishing or deepening your practice? The Programs and Path of Practice pages will lead you right to our best resources for moving deeper into your sitting practice and into the sangha (community). For example, you may want to explore the revamped mentor program, the new teacher interview program, or the exciting resources pages.

Live outside the DC area? Explore our Virtual Sangha page. We outline the resources available to you on our website, and give you ideas of where to look in your community to explore Buddhist practice.

We hope you enjoy our vibrant new website. We look forward to receiving your feedback

Namaste,

The Board of Directors, Teachers and Staff of IMCW
