Non-IMCW Retreat: Fierce Tenderness
By Editor | May 11 2011
Awakening a Balanced Perspective
Dori Langevin embodies the sacred feminine-- she is one of the most graceful, wise and loving dharma teachers I know. Her workshop, Fierce Tenderness, will give students an opportunity to discover pathways to their own innate strength, wakefulness and compassion.

Come prepared to embody your fierce tenderness. By cultivating an inner atmosphere of harmony and balance, we will feel our natural capacity to embrace all that arises and awaken our innate wisdom and compassion. Moment by moment and breath by breath, we can then be in the world of relationships, work and play with more joy, clarity and peace ... even when old habits and patterns arise. This is not about some idealized perfection, it's about being real.
Through this retreat, we will explore how the Buddhist practices of mindfulness and compassion can free us from the bonds of difficult emotions, bringing into balance courage and vulnerability. The retreat will include dharma talks, guided meditations, silent practice, mindful movement, Q&A and time to connect with the land. Mindful movement is suitable for all body types and ages, with emphasis on listening to body cues in order to create a integral and embodied experience.
