Loving-kindness: Introduction and Meditation
Loving-kindness is a quality of a boundless heart that arises naturally when painful states of mind and heart are abandoned. In this retreat, through periods of loving-kindness meditation, mindful sharing, and ceremony, we awaken together and tenderly explore our capacity to create, endure, overcome, and transform suffering. The practice of mindfulness—bringing a conscious, non-judging awareness to our own present experience—is at the heart of the Buddha’s teachings of liberation. In this daylong retreat we will cultivate mindfulness and loving-kindness as a path to joy, inner peace and connection to our natural wisdom and compassion.
