Rob has worked with a wide variety of meditative practices over the last 35 years, concentrating for the past 25 on Vipassana meditation and mindful dialogue. He has been part of IMCW since its founding, including starting the first Kalyana Mitta (Spiritual Friends) group in 1996.
Professionally, Rob started as a telecommunications and IT engineer and project manager, then evolved into an organization development consultant and professional facilitator. He studied to be an ordained United Methodist minister in the early 90's and completed the Spirit Rock Community Dharma Leader program in July 2003.
Rob has extensive experience in introducing meditation, mindful dialogue, rites of passage, and other spiritual practices into many diverse settings, such as businesses, government, schools, and churches. He is the co-founder of the Meditation Community of Herndon/Reston and leads regular meditation groups and classes in western Fairfax County, Virginia, including at the Village Wellness Center in Herndon, Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fairfax (in Oakton), and in Tysons Corner.
