Adam’s primary interest lies in framing the core teachings of meditative traditions as the foundation for embodied presence, compassion and true intimacy. He has had broad exposure to meditation and contemplative practices with a focus on Vipassana Insight, Sufism and non-dual traditions. He has been practicing meditation since the mid 1990’s and has been teaching as part of Insight Meditation of Washington (IMCW) since 2006. Adam completed the two year Dedicated Practioner’s Program sponsored by the Spirit Rock Meditation Center and since has continued with formal training and mentoring by his primary teacher, Matthew Flickstein. Adam formerly served as a group facilitator for an IMCW Spiritual Friends (Kalyana Mitta) group and served as an IMCW board member.
Adam lives with his wife and son in Marin County, CA. In addition to his meditation teaching work, he has recently taken the position of Chief Data Officer for Quantum Leap Healthcare Collaborative supporting the I-SPY 2 clinical trials and the Athena Breast Cancer Network.
