Insight meditation cultivates our natural wisdom and compassion. Meditation practice develops concentration, which allows us to calm and steady the mind.
Newcomers to meditation and long time practitioners are welcome to attend our classes in metro D.C. No registration is necessary. Chairs, yoga blankets and bolsters are always available or you may bring your sitting gear.
American Sign Language (ASL) is offered from time to time at this class upon request; please email us if you are interested but don't see it available.

Teachers and Topics
We'll begin the Summer by discussing the five hindrances, those challenging states of mind that can impede mindfulness and concentration, and skillful means for working with them in practice. On July 17, we'll have a special visit from our group's co-founder and long-time teacher, Lynn Kelly!
