Ongoing Meditation Classes

Insight meditation cultivates our natural wisdom and compassion. Meditation practice develops concentration, which allows us to calm and steady the mind. Newcomers to meditation and long time practitioners are welcome to attend our classes in metro D.C. No registration is necessary for most classes. Chairs are always provided or you may bring your sitting gear.

In the Buddhist tradition, there is no charge for the teachings, as they are considered priceless. Most sittings and teachings are offered on a dana basis, but for some classes a suggested amount or a fee is listed to assist IMCW in meeting its financial obligations.
