Film: Animals and the Buddha

Please join us for a screening of the film “Animals and the Buddha”, directed by acclaimed documentary filmmaker Keegan Kuhn (“Cowspiracy”, “What the Health”), to raise awareness and encourage deeper reflection on how extending compassion to all animals, particularly the animals we might typically forget about, is consistent with the Buddhist path....

Meditations for Compassion, Wisdom & Ethics in the U.S.

This event is to provide an opportunity for people to gather together on the Ellipse, beside the White House, to meditate in an effort to bring greater mindfulness, compassion, wisdom and an ethics of loving-kindness into the public discourse and into the energetic exchange of our democracy.

Touching the Earth: Reflections on the 2018 Summer Family Retreat

This past June, we held our fourth annual IMCW Family Mindfulness Retreat. Fred, Ofosu, and I were joined by eighty parents, grandparents, children, and staff in rural Virginia for three nights and days, spending treasured time together having fun and reconnecting with friends, family, and nature. This year's theme, Touching the Earth, came alive naturally amongst the beauty of the Shenandoah foothills.
