Invitation to Define IMCW’s Future Vision & Our Collective Awakening July 29, 2019By Editor event, FutureVision As IMCW works to become a more welcoming, inclusive, supportive, and effective community, we would greatly appreciate the generosity of your insights, perspectives and experiences thus far as we envision IMCW’s future. As you may know, or recently read, IMCW is engaging in a deep visioning process aimed at how IMCW might grow and change over the next 5–10 years in order to better support the aspiration of collective awakening. The IMCW Visioning Team is conducting focus groups associated with IMCW’s many classes, activities, groups, affinity sanghas, and other offerings and communities, so that we can hear from as wide a variety of community members as possible. As part of this the Visioning Team will conduct focus groups with IMCW community members who identify as POC, LGBTIQ, and persons who are differently-abled or with a disability(s). The Team is also conducting focus groups for individuals who aspire to be IMCW teachers. To participate in these specific focus groups please visit IMCW’s "Vision 2.0 Events" online calendar. You are welcome in each type of focus group that you identify with. We want to incorporate your perspective in this process! Please choose the one group meeting type -- virtually via Zoom or in person -- that best works in your schedule. Other Focus Groups Are you interested in participating in a focus group, but don’t fall into these categories? There are many other opportunities to be involved! Ask your teachers or group leaders about upcoming focus group sessions. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to be part of defining IMCW’s future vision and our collective awakening! For more information, contact the Visioning Team, and see our visioning fact sheet here at imcw.org.
