Three Refuges Ceremony. The three classic refuges of Buddha (awareness), Dharma (truth) and Sangha (loving relatedness) are each expressions of our deepest essence. This class reflects on the refuges and includes guided meditations and a closing ritual that helps us remember the pathway home in our daily life.
Insight meditation cultivates our natural wisdom and compassion. Meditation practice develops concentration, which allows us to calm and steady the mind. This class includes 1/2 hour of Vipassana meditation instruction and guided meditation followed by an hour-long dharma talk. This is a large gathering of approximately 250-300 people.
No registration is necessary.
Please note: the Three Refuges class will be LIVESTREAMED on Facebook. You will find the link on my Facebook page.
Once each month this class can be ASL (American Sign Language)-interpreted the 3rd Wednesday of each month. Please email Glen Harrison, the class coordinator, if you are interested, so that we can schedule an interpreter.
Newcomers to meditation and long time practitioners are welcome to attend IMCW classes. Chairs are always provided or you may bring your sitting gear.
