Half-Day on Intimacy with the Heart:
For Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) Graduates Only
This is a dana (generosity/donation) based retreat. Please hold your dana until the day of the retreat.
If you’ve completed an eight-week Mindful Self-Compassion series or an intensive with any MSC-certified or trained teacher, you’re invited to come practice mindful self-compassion with other graduates. For this retreat we will emphasize forgiveness practice along with other MSC meditations.
This retreat will be in silence so you can more deeply practice mindful self-compassion through guided sitting and walking meditations in 20 to 30-minute intervals.
Please plan to arrive early to set up your space/sitting gear (cushions, yoga mat, blankets, etc.) because we'll start the retreat promptly at 1 p.m.
Dress comfortably; you may want to dress in layers to adjust for temperature fluctuations. There will be tea and water available; if possible, please bring a water bottle or mug to reduce waste.
This retreat is for those who have completed an eight-week class series or five day intensive with a trained Mindful Self-Compassion teacher. You will be asked to provide the following information:
1) Location and dates of MSC class series or intensive that you completed; and
2) Instructor name(s)
This venue has plenty of street parking and it is close to Red Line/Tenleytown Metro.
This venue is not accessible for those with mobility impairments.

IMCW Retreats and Workshops
IMCW retreats and workshops offer instruction in Buddhist meditation and talks on the awakening of our natural insight, love and wisdom. While the meditation practices derive from the Buddhist tradition, they are universal in orientation and address spiritual themes of concern to all contemplative traditions.
A workshop is not primarily silent (talking may be allowed during breaks and lunch) and may be focused on a special topic, such as applying meditation to relationships, emotional healing or physical well-being. Workshops may include a variety of formats, including different reflections and exercises and the sharing of experiences.
Our daylongs open for registration 12 weeks in advance.
