We offer a number of options for your evening with us:
6:30-7:20 p.m. Optional Mindful Movement Class. Feel free to arrive early and enjoy these classes led by skillful leaders. We do not provide yoga mats so please bring one and any other material you might need for this session. No prior experience required.
7-8 p.m. Hour-Long Self-Guided Meditation. Join a group downstairs in the chapel for an extended period of seated and walking meditation and then join the main class for the talk.
7:30-8 p.m. Guided Meditation
8-8:45 p.m. Dharma Talk
8:45-9:15 p.m. Tea and cookies are often provided after class for those who would like to spend a little with like-minded community.
8:50-9:30 p.m. Mindful Dialog session is available for those would like to connect after for discussion about the talk and mindfulness practice in general.
No registration is necessary. Both the mindful movement and meditation class are offered freely and are open to drop-ins. Donations are welcome to support both the teacher and the venue, and there will be an opportunity to offer dana (a donation) at the door. A donation of $10 is suggested.
Newcomers to meditation and long time practitioners are welcome to attend IMCW classes. Chairs are always provided or you may bring your sitting gear.
In case of inclement weather you can check the UUCA website for cancellations. If Arlington Public Schools are closed, class will be cancelled.

||Receiving Blessed Rest: As we all know, whenever we’re having difficulty relaxing, or sleeping, this can often profoundly affect our thinking, mood, behavior, and quality of life. Mindfulness and Intimacy
Go beyond mere mindfulness—and deepen your connection to your self, the people in your life, and the world around you.
Mindfulness is an ancient and powerful practice of awareness and nonjudgmental discernment that can help us ground ourselves in the present moment, with the world and our lives just as they are. Parking and Public Transportation
Parking can be an issue with many groups using the church on Monday nights. You can assume that if a parking space is not clearly marked, it’s a fire lane and not safe. Please know that parking is available on side streets around the church and you won’t be ticketed.
Metro bus route 22-A via George Mason, Mon - Fri. OR 4-A via Arlington Blvd, Mon - Fri. AND Bus 4-B Sat & Sun. The nearest Metro stop is Ballston on the orange line; a 15-20 minute walk.
