Many of us have heard of mindfulness and many have experienced mindfulness meditation. But what does it really mean to bring mindfulness into your daily life? Are we relating to our family members or our co-workers with mindfulness? How about when we are driving or using public transportation? Do we get where we are going with patience and respect for ourselves and others? Do you brush your teeth, shower and dress mindfully?
When we are truly committed to mindfulness, nothing is left out. Mindfulness includes all of our actions, our speech, our livelihood, how we practice yoga and how we come and go from the yoga studio.
In this class you will learn not only formal sitting mindfulness meditation. You will also learn how to bring mindfulness more fully into your life by becoming more aware of and witnessing your thoughts, more present with bodily sensations to bring you more into the present moment and to be less disturbed by life’s inevitable ups and downs.
