    Compassionate Action Daylong

    Sharon Salzberg
    3/6/2021 9:30 AM  -  4:00 PM (ET/U.S. and Canada)
    at Online Retreat (Virtual)
Join Sharon Salzberg for a workshop exploring the path of compassionate action for difficult times. We will emphasize the cultivation of fierce compassion, particularly when we encounter fear, anger and helplessness. Although frequently denigrated in our culture as simplistic and weak, His Holiness the14thDalaiLama has said, “compassion is the radicalism of our time.” Fierce compassion is a form of personal agency from which we can engage critical wisdom and mindfulness in our lives, including in the most challenging times. We will look at practical tools to shift out of the adversarial mentality of "us" and "them” while deepening strength and clarity. The workshop includes periods of dialogue, discourse, and guided meditation practice. Suitable for new and experienced meditators.
