"May we exist like the lotus, at home in the muddy water." (Zen Proverb)
How do we bring the expansive qualities of mind, body and heart that we cultivate on the cushion into the messy and often difficult places--the "muddy water"--in which we find ourselves, and our world? How do we abide in peace, joy and equanimity in the middle of real life?
This silent Vipassana meditation retreat will focus on teachings and practices for mind, body and heart that are both imminently practical, and deeply sacred. There will be periods of sitting and walking meditation, as well as opportunities for daily yoga/movement.
We invite you to join us as we sit with these questions together in supportive community at the beautiful Sevenoaks Retreat Center. Comfortable rooms, 200 acres of walking trails and delicious homemade meals provide a truly special environment for this practice.
Please find more information about retreats in our Resource section/Residential Retreat Information.
