Open to all who identify as: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, or Queer
Friday, May 26-Monday, May 29
Check-in from 3-6 p.m. on Friday. Departure between 12-2 p.m. on Monday.
The Buddha’s teachings invite us to wake up to what is true and what is real within ourselves and in the world. With Intention we can meet life with care, kindness and with a willingness to learn about what creates freedom.
On this silent meditation retreat, we will explore the practices and teachings of mindfulness, loving-kindness and compassion. We will explore both individually and within community:
- being content in the midst of desire
- being kind in unkind times
- being clear and wise while in confusion
The essence of these practices is to see things as they are, to look into our lives with interest, kindness, compassion and to discover and awaken the capacity that each of us has to live more openly, more wisely, and more lovingly.
