For 5-11 year olds. (Other ages welcome.) The Family Meditation class meets the 3rd Sunday of each month, offering young children a mindfulness framework to develop healthy responses to the ever-changing world around and inside of them. Children will learn how to express their innate qualities of being present with what is happening, respect for others and nature, loving kindness and compassion. Planting these seeds at an early age can reduce stress as well as sustain and nourish the mind, body and spirit for a lifetime.

Classes include lessons on basic Buddhist teachings, short meditations, movement exercises and hands-on activities geared towards developing mindfulness. Parents attend the classes with their children.

This class does not require a fee, but you will have an opportunity to offer dana. This is a drop-in class; no registration is required.
