Middle School Class, Bethesda
Jack Blackfelt and Lauren Rubenstein
- 6:00 PM at River Road Unitarian, (6301 River Road, Bethesda, MD, 20817) (Map It)
2nd Sundays, monthly (except for March 2018). Parents attend with their children. This class does not meet in July or August.
These monthly middle school classes cultivate mindfulness practices that foster greater balance, compassion, and awareness in the midst of the natural highs and lows of early adolescence. The mindfulness toolkit provides the foundation of the class. Investigating the fabric of our inner lives, the causes of emotional stress, and the possibility of freedom from suffering are explored within the spirit of play and curiosity.
This is a drop-in class and no registration is required. So that no one is turned away due to lack of funds, the teachers offer this class based on dana (donations). The suggested donation is $20 per child. Please bring a healthy-ish snack to share.
Newcomers to meditation and long time practitioners are welcome to attend IMCW classes. Chairs are always provided or you may bring your sitting gear.
This venue is accessible for those with mobility impairments.
Faciliatators: Jack Blackfelt, Lauren Rubenstein
