Friday, September 14-Sunday, September 16

Guest teacher: Paul Jones

Arrival starts at 4 p.m., dinner at 5:30, formal program begins at 7 p.m. The retreat concludes at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.

In order to move beyond suffering, the Buddha invited his students -- and he invites us --  to see and experience life from a variety of innovative and deeply insightful perspectives into the nature of Reality and Life, collectively called Wise View.  This weekend retreat will introduce participants experientially to Wise View through a variety of activities, including mindfulness meditation instruction and practice, teacher talks, small group meetings with the teachers, and gentle mindful movement.

The retreat center is nestled in many acres of wooded land in a secluded area of Montgomery County, MD. The property includes a number of trails, a lake, and a labyrinth.

The retreat size is limited to 36 participants to foster an intimate experience.

All meals are vegetarian. If you have special dietary needs (e.g. gluten-free, vegan), please include this in your registration notes.

Most rooms are double-occupancy. A few single rooms are available. A tent camping option is available as well. If you have special room needs, please contact the retreat managers.

This venue is partially accessible for those with mobility impairments. Please contact the retreat manager for more information.

Please find more information about retreats in our Resource section/Residential Retreat Information.

Teacher biographies can be found on our Teacher webpages.
