Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation
Thursdays, July 12–August 16
Can we train ourselves to be happier?
Join us for a look at how mindfulness and other practices can enrich our lives, build stronger relationships, heighten compassion for ourselves and others, and, yes, make us happier! This class explores the science of happiness and shows how mindfulness practices can help us not only find peace and ease in daily life, but can actually promote real and lasting happiness. The class will consist of group discussion, in-class exercises, and between-class practices to discover and explore.
We will sit on chairs, so no special props or cushions are required. No meditation experience is necessary. Although there is a charge for the class, the cost can be made flexible based on financial need.
