Meditation: Joy Independent of External Conditions
This 40-minute meditation helps guide us to using an anchor of awareness, such as breath, to help settle our mind, heart, and body. We reflect on our intention, then move to releasing tension through a body scan, and then settle on our anchor. When we drift away from our anchor, we practicing exercising the muscle of returning with kindness, we build the muscle of non-judgment and non-striving. As we begin to settle, we access states of greater calm. These states may not last long, but they are cultivating the stepping stones that lead us on the path of freedom from suffering, to a subtle inner joy that is our birthright, our essential nature, and is independent of external conditions.

As always, dana (donation) is voluntary. We are grateful for dana of any amount, which helps pay for the expenses of making our classes available and helps support the teacher. Please note your class and teacher. Thank you.
