Moving Forward Together

Partnership on the Path

The Buddha’s teachings offer a path for meeting our lives and our world with greater wisdom, compassion, and care. The Dharma wheel reminds us that each part of the path supports the others—and helps move us forward.

We each enter the path from a different place, yet we move forward together through meditation, teachings, retreat, spiritual friendship, service, and generosity.

Generosity Is Part of the Path

Generosity is itself a practice of the Dharma—an expression of gratitude, connection, and care. And there is no one way to practice it.

A financial gift. Time or skills offered in service. A newcomer welcomed. A story shared. An invitation into the sangha. Each helps create the conditions for practice to take root and grow.

This fall, we invite you to consider: What might generosity look like for you?

Make a Gift

Your gift supports the teachers, programs, scholarships, community, and spaces that make practice possible.

There is no “right” amount. Every gift is an expression of generosity and an opportunity to help make practice possible for someone else.

Make Your Gift Go Further

You can also support IMCW through an employer matching gift, donor-advised fund, or gift of stock. Please contact Giving@imcw.org for information and assistance.

Give in Other Ways

Generosity is more than money. You can:

  • Give your time or skills — Volunteer, serve on a committee, help at Seven Oaks, or share your expertise. Let’s start by getting to know you. Volunteer Interest Survey
  • Invite someone in — Introduce a friend to IMCW or invite them to practice with you.
  • Share your story — Tell someone how a teacher, retreat, sangha, or practice has made a difference in your life. Share your story by emailing us at Giving@imcw.org

Help Turn the Wheel Forward

Practice does not end when we rise from the cushion. It continues in how we give, serve, welcome, connect, and care for one another.

Whatever form your generosity takes, it is Dharma in action—strengthening your practice, sustaining the sangha, and helping make the path available to others.

The path is walked one step at a time. The wheel turns because we move forward together.
