Lastly, we leave you with this message from Tara Brach and IMCW:

“These are the times when we can most feel our togetherness on this interconnected planet — our shared fragility, vulnerability, interdependence and care. Your practice of mindfulness and compassion can become a precious resource amidst growing reactivity and suffering. Our world needs those who can remember to come into presence, remember to breathe, remember to listen, remember to hold what is unfolding in a space of compassion.”

May you be well in these difficult times.

PLEASE NOTE: The front doors are locked at 7:30 p.m. to comply with Willow Street's guidelines. This class is held on the first floor of the building.

Insight meditation cultivates our natural wisdom and compassion. Meditation practice develops concentration, which allows us to calm and steady the mind.

Meditation begins with a brief optional chant, followed by a half hour guided meditation and dharma talk. We usually end with time for questions and sharing. Our diverse group of teachers is united by a love of finding practical wisdom for our daily lives within the traditional Buddhist teachings.

We aspire to create a safe, supportive community, and welcome everyone with an interest in meditation, regardless of identity, orientation or background. Join us for a “first Sunday” of the month, when all are invited to stay after class to share a cup of tea, meet and chat.

We meet almost every week of the year, except for weather emergencies and some major holidays (see the schedule below). No registration is necessary for any of our classes, and newcomers are always welcome.
