Silent Weekend Retreat

Single rooms for this retreat have been filled.

The Buddha invited his students to contemplate daily on five remembrances or recollections. These remembrances on impermanence and karma help to deepen a release from suffering and stress. As these recollections are practiced and allowed to sink in, practitioners are moved toward a lessening of grasping for life to be a certain way, and toward a wisdom regarding what is skillful in word and deed. Ultimately these practices lead toward a greater sense of freedom and joy.

In this retreat, we will focus on contemplating and meditating on the five remembrances. Through dharma talks, guided meditations, and group meetings with the teachers, we will cultivate a deeper sense of the recollections and how they play out in our lives.

Comments from a previous Retreats:

“Really appreciated Stan and the care and thoughtfulness he brought to the talks and to the group session. I am very grateful for his presence here.”

“Teachings were well-articulated, challenging and sophisticated. Teachers were open, caring.”
