In these challenging times, cultivating mindfulness, compassion, and equanimity helps us connect more fully with our lived experience, builds resilience, and enables us to respond compassionately and wisely to the suffering of our world. With a worldwide pandemic, job losses not seen since the Great Depression, an uprising demanding racial justice, elections in less than two months, and a nation crying out for compassionate and caring leadership, it is easy to feel fearful, anxious, and overwhelmed. Join us for teachings and practices to open our hearts to ourselves, each other, and our world, cultivating peace in our hearts and in the world.

In this half-day retreat, we will practice sitting and walking meditation together in our own spaces, supported by short talks, stories, poetry, and sharing. The emphasis of the instructions will be on cultivating a relaxed awareness in all our moments with an attitude of acceptance and kindness. 

This retreat is cosponsored with the London Mindfulness Project, which will send out a Zoom link to all who are registered prior to the retreat.

Scholarships

Scholarships are available. To apply, please email the retreat manager (or "Contact Us" button) before registering.  Please apply early as funds are limited.

You can also direct a donation to the scholarship fund on the registration form.

IMCW Refund Policy

If you cancel more than three weeks before the start of the event, your payment will be refunded minus a $10 administrative fee. IMCW cannot offer refunds for cancellations made fewer than 3 weeks before the beginning of the class series. There is no refund for classes you do not attend. Issuing a refund check may take 2-4 weeks.

Late Registration

Online registration will close at 12 a.m. the day of the retreat. To request late registration, please email the retreat manager to check if there are still openings.
