Second Sunday Dharma Series

Transforming Racism from the Inside Out

The spiritual call for racial self-awareness and healing is urgent, and no one is exempt from this social necessity. Join us for an intimate conversation with Ruth King, Trisha Stotler (IMCW teacher and Program Director) and La Sarmiento (IMCW teacher and Board President) about transforming racism from the inside out. We'll explore how mindfulness, racial inquiry, and intentional community ripen the heart and supports social care and harmony. La and Trisha will draw on their life experiences, as well as the valuable insights they've gained as students of Ruth King's work.

There will be time during this session for Q&A. You may ask questions live via the Chat box.

This special series is being offered in the spirit of generosity. You must register for each session in advance, and will be asked to make a donation that aligns with your circumstances. No one will be turned away for financial reasons.

Every person registered will receive a link to the recording a couple of days after the event (which will be available for 90 days). If you are not able to attend but would like the recording, please register so that the link to the recording can be emailed to you.

We appreciate your generosity. Proceeds from these events will support a variety of IMCW programs, including our scholarship and Larry Yang BIPOC Fund. An option is available so that none may be turned away, but participants are strongly encouraged to make a donation by registering for a Zoom link below.

Note: Because this is an online event, participants are encouraged to find space of relative quiet, limiting the amount of interaction with others in the environment as much as possible. Participants may join by internet or via phone.

Participants will be given the Zoom link in the registration confirmation email and again via email the week before the event begins.
