Jen Jordan enjoys sharing the practice of meditation with both adults and children. She coordinates and co-teaches the IMCW Family Program and is a guiding teacher with Minds, Inc. Jen has trained in the Mindful Schools and .b curricula and is a graduate of the Meditation Teacher Training Institute (MTTI). She mentors global students enrolled in Tara Brach & Jack Kornfield's Power of Awareness course.
First introduced to Buddhist meditation as an adolescent, Jen has been primarily influenced by the Vipassana and Zen lineages. The teachings have been a place of refuge and support in her life as she balances work and self-care in the midst of parenting three school-aged children, including a child with a degenerative physical disability. Jen has experience in a broad range of contemplative modalities, including Reiki and Kundalini Yoga, and sees these as extensions of her meditative practice. She is particularly grateful for the guidance she has received from Thich Nhat Hanh,
In addition to her teaching and mentoring, Jen works as a hospice nurse practitioner. Her personal practice is informed by a love and respect for this planet Earth.
