Stan Eisenstein is a full teacher for the Insight Meditation Community of Washington (IMCW) and is the founder and teacher of the Columbia Sangha. He is also co-teacher for the Baltimore Sangha.
Stan is a graduate of the two-year Meditation Teacher Training Institute, with senior Insight meditation teachers Tara Brach, Jonathan Foust, Hugh Byrne, and Pat Coffey.
Stan is a mentor for the Power of Awareness meditation course, published by Sounds True with teachers Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. He is also a mentor for other online courses taught by Tara Brach.
Stan teaches Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness for Teens, and Meeting Chronic Pain and Illness courses. He also guides meditations daily for Telesangha.
A former high school physics teacher, Stan has been meditating for over 30 years and has been practicing Insight Meditation since 2004. He has a master’s degree in Social Work.
Stan Eisenstein teaches classes and daylongs, as well as MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) series in Howard County and Washington, DC.
