Inquiry and Insight – The Wisdom Factor Weekend

Stan Eisenstein Wellspring Conference Center

Stan Eisenstein

2/15/2019 4:00 PM - 2/17/2019 5:00 PM  at  Wellspring Conference Center, (11411 Neelsville Church Road, Germantown, MD, 20876) (Map It)

Insight may be described as any shift in consciousness that brings a decrease in our sense of suffering, stress, fear or dis-ease. Inquiry, or the Wisdom Factor as the Buddha referred to it, is the process through which Insight becomes more likely. The Buddha likened Wisdom to a sword that cuts through the knot of delusion, bringing Insight and a greater sense of freedom.

In this retreat, we will focus on perspectives and practices that enhance the process of inquiry. Through dharma talks, guided meditations, and group meetings with the teacher, a number of principles of inquiry will be discussed and practiced.

Comments from the September retreat:

Really appreciated Stan and the care and thoughtfulness he brought to the talks and to the group session. I am very grateful for his presence here.

Teachings were well-articulated, challenging and sophisticated. Teachers were open, caring.

Wellspring Conference Center is located on the property of Dayspring -- a 200+ acre expanse of woodlands, meadows, ponds and wildlife in Germantown, MD, a suburb of Washington, D.C.

All of the buildings are sited and constructed to conform to the existing landscape and limit the ecological footprint. With a unique angular, split-level design, our three rustic cabins open up to the forest with window expanses connecting inside spaces with the surrounding woods.
