Deborah Ross is a Certified Journal Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor. Now retired from private practice psychotherapy, she focuses on teaching journaling/expressive writing.
Deborah is a core faculty member at the Center for Journal Therapy, a featured presenter at the annual Expressive Arts Summit in NYC and offers workshops through Inova's Life With Cancer, Brain Injury Services and the Insight Meditation Community of Washington, as well as facilitating writing groups in the community that focus on writing through transitions and creating a written legacy or ethical will.
She is also a coauthor with Kathleen Adams of, Your Brain on Ink: A Workbook on Neuroplasticity and the Journal Ladder (It's Easy to W.R.I.T.E. Expressive Writing). Deborah continues to follow the neuroscience research that impacts how we can write our way out of rumination and into integration, healing and a self-authored life.
