Jim Gordon

A world-renowned expert on trauma, Jim is the founder and executive director of The Center for Mind-Body Medicine (CMBM) in Washington, D.C. Jim (James Gordon, M.D.) is a Harvard-educated professor of psychiatry and family medicine at Georgetown University Medical School and former chairman of the White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicine Policy, under Presidents Clinton and G.W. Bush.

Jim founded CMBM in 1991, where he and his faculty train health professionals, educators, and community leaders in pioneering mind-body medicine model of self-care, self-awareness, and group support.
