Cheryl Harlan

Cheryl's travels have taken her both around the world and into interior realms of herself. Her formal education B.S. MA Ed.S. in Creative and Healing Arts Education are additionally informed by years of mind-body studies. She is a Yoga Alliance Affiliated Teacher in the Anusara Style (200 hrs.), with many years of advanced studies in yoga, health therapies and Thai Yoga Bodywork. She completed the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Professional Development Institute with Jon Kabat-Zinn in 1996, after practicing other forms of meditation since 1990.

Cheryl has served for several years as an adjunct professor of meditation at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. She has also conducted special programs through GMU’s Center for the Advancement for Well-Being. Having been a lead consultant for CBS, Inc.,working as both a certified K-8 regular classroom teacher and a K-12 art teacher; her yoga, meditation and art classes and retreat curriculum are a dynamic blending of her lifelong trainings. She participated in the Year of Living Mindfully Program with Jonathan Foust (2010-11) and is a graduate of the two-year Meditation Teacher Training Institute (MTTI) of Washington, D.C.
